How to recover your TUBEs from the platform

The website was shut down on the 18th of November 2019. Prior to that, a migration process allowed users to import their videos to the new video platfrom and link their wallet address with the browser extension to manage TUBE funds.

If you missed the migration window, unfortunately your videos from cannot be recovered anymore. However, you can still get access to your old wallet by following these steps.

Step 1: Sign up for a BitTube browser extension account.

Follow the guide on how to create and verify your account. 

If you already have a account you can log in with the same credentials to the extension!


Please make sure to activate your extension account by clicking on the confirmation link sent to your email! Phone verification is not obligatory.

Step 2: Reach us via Help Desk to link the wallet.

Once you are registered in the extension, open a support ticket via the Help Desk at (or on this page using the button in the lower-left corner).

Here is a template you can use when sending the message. Just substitute [Email] with the associated email used to register:

	I would like to request access to my wallet address. My new account is registered using the [email] and my old account was registered using [email].

We will verify your request and link the wallet address within 48 hours.

Step 3: Synchronize the wallet.

After your wallet has been linked successfully, you can access it by navigating to the "TUBE Wallets" section from the extension dashboard.

The wallet will appear in the drop-down menu with a "" name prefix.

When opening this newly included wallet, it will need to synchronize with the blockchain for the first time. This process can take up to several hours.

Once the wallet is synchronized, your balance will show the correct amount.
